The Independent AIR Photographic Youth Workshops
The Independent AIR is teaching photographic workshopsyouth in Silkeborg and Herning, Denmark in collaboration with Silkeborg Ungdomsskole, Herning ungdomsskole, Huset No. 7 and Herning billedskole.
Through the personal photograph you can express something more and different; tell us what is on your mind and what is important here and now in your life!
The personal photograph is about expressing what you see, feel and experience around you; tell us about the craziest thing you’ve ever seen, tell us about your first scar, tell the world about your neighbour, show us your room, or tell about all the others. The Independent AIR photographic workshop is for young people, with teachers from the international art group The Independent AIR.
The photographic tasks we work with, we will focus on the nerve and importance, attitude and standpoint. During the workshop will be challenged in photographic genres like documentary, portrait and staged photography. Working with photography is a journey in the city, the countryside, the world, the universe and the human mind. If you dream of becoming a photographer, artist or a storyteller come and join the workshop!
The workshop is open to anyone 14 years and older. You do not need to have experience with photography to participate.
Note: The workshop is free of charge for low income households.
Grant from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency
We are proud to announce that The Independent AIR has recently received a grant of roughly half a million Danish kroner from the pool for green transition, ”Puljen til grønne ildsjæle”, at the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. The grant is given to locally anchored initiatives that work towards a green transition. The money is going to make us able expand on our ongoing efforts to make Independent AIR an as environmentally sustainable cultural project as possible and to engage and inspire others in doing the same.
