My place for the útesita was a rocky hill. It had a strange moonlike landscape. Some lichen and moss were the main vegetation. There were some small birch trees but mostly the vegetation was scarce.

The reason why I chose this spot was because in my own artistic work I deal with the idea that a place has a memory. So, a place where a lot of intensive emotion has been experienced stays in the soil. I was in the Finnish archipelago and in this spot, I chose for my útesita there have been battles between the local people and Russians in the 18th century. My idea was to meditate on the spot and try to get in contact with the earth if something has been left behind like a snail leaves its trail.
